Dr. Kim
Dr. Kim is excited to work with the wonderful staff and the patients around the community at La Perle Dental Centre.
Dr. Kim attended Queen’s University for her undergraduate studies and received the Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences in 2012. She then moved to Alberta shortly after and attended the University of Alberta where she received the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Kim loves the creative and aesthetic aspects of dentistry and enjoys getting to know patients and helping them in their dental journey.
In her free time Dr. Kim enjoys home exercises and playing board games with her husband.
Dr. Nada Marshall
From the age of 14, Dr. Marshall knew she wanted to be in the dental profession. From a medical family, she volunteered as a lay dental assistant at the McGill University Faculty of Dentistry. She worked along side the 3rd and 4th year dental students during her summer and school holidays. Exposed to many aspects of clinical practice she fell in love with the idea of being able to practice art and science at the same time, as well as serving the health care needs of those around her. She attended Dalhousie University in Halifax and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science, Biology (1994), Bachelor of Arts, Psychology (1994) and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (2000) from the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University.
Dr. Marshall has had the privilege of practicing in Nova Scotia and in Alberta. In 2004, she and her young family settled in Hinton, AB where she purchased a practice and served the community for almost 10 years. In 2014 she successfully sold her practice and for the past 9 years she has continued to work in the Edmonton and Yellowhead regions as a locum and associate. Dr. Marshall is excited to meet the La Perle Dental patient family and be part of this caring team!
Outside of the office Dr. Marshall enjoys a variety of activities from adventuring with her family camping, horseback riding, and canoeing to more homey fun like cooking and watching movies.
Darlene - Office Manager
Darlene can be found helping out where ever needed, front or back. She will gladly help make sense of your dental insurance plans and organize any appointments you may need. Her favorite thing about dentistry is that after 20 years in the industry there is still always something new to learn and is also a registered dental assistant so she is always ready to help patients in the back.
Bio: Outside of work, she loves to travel - London is her favorite city so far. She is an avid reader, enjoys running, yoga, watching hockey, and absolutely loves animals.
Hailey - Hygienist
Since moving from Ontario last year, Hailey has found Edmonton to be her home away from home. After being a dental assistant for a year, she discovered her passion for working one on one with patients to achieve optimal oral health. Hailey graduated from Durham College Dental Hygiene program in 2018. She has since visited Alberta many times and has found it to be where her heart is. Hailey enjoys building strong relationships with her patients and loves giving education on prevention and maintenance of oral conditions. She is excited to be working as part of the La Perle Dental team and hopes to meet many more smiling faces.
Bio: In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, camping, kayaking and listening to music.
Alaiza - Registered dental assistant
Alaiza is Dr. Kim's cheerful right hand! The patient experience is her priority, and she works hard to ensure you will feel comfortable in our office. Alaiza enjoys helping our patients understand and implement their treatment options. She wants you to have a beautiful smile and will do her best to help you in any way she can to make this happen.
Bio: During her free time, Alaiza loves doing outdoor activities, spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, and she would love the opportunity to travel!
Anna - Receptionist
Anna is the friendly face that will greet you when you enter our clinic. Having started as a hygienist in Poland, Anna has now transitioned to the administration side of dentistry. She will happily check your insurance for you and find the most convenient appointment times for your family.
Bio: Anna and her family have lived all over Europe and in 2013 settled in Canada and made this home. In her free time she loves going for walks and having BBQs!
